AutoCad Drafting

Being a junior engineer in my company, I've been assigned to do all kinds of different job, from handling site/sub-con, paperwork, quantity take-off, claims/VOs, QA/QC, project planning, then there's chance to involve with all kind of programmes, such like autocad, primavera, excel, ductculator, lux calculator, etc etc, and most interesting thing is I learn how to design some basic engineering drawings with autocad, no matter electrical, plumbing, fire, ACMV and so..

i still remember the first day i come to work, and i feel amazed when i first seeing people comes out with amazing CAD dwg that shown on computer, and i telling myself, i going to be in good in all these. and Yes! i been gone thru the days and now i am actually an engineer with capability of drafting dwg by himself, yes, some might thinks why engineer need to draft as you have Engineer Assistant (EA) and draftsman under you, but to be frank, if i have time i rather spend time drafting dwg, as what i draft today will stay in my memories longer rather than you just scratch them on paper, after scratching them, i can even close my eyes walking on site and knowing what the services are on top my head, amazing wasn't it ? After all, you might not agreed with me, but every engineer of my organization practice that, even our design director can draft drawings themselves rather than rely on draftsmen.

Being in internet era, its good for people to pick up things from the web rather than the old fashioned way of learning with bugging people for helps or go for formal classes, you actually can learn autocad from websites like youtube.com, autocad discussion web, forums, blogs, and etc. I will attached few links as below for the ease of your reference
